This group provides leisure opportunities for young people with disabilities living within Durham and surrounding areas and offer a large and varied number of activities throughout the year. The group mail out over 300 newsletters each quarter and are very keen to get new members. So if your child is at a loose end from time to time or you were wanting to join an activity group but just couldn't find one - your problems are over. Dadlg are waiting for your call.

They are alo building a website so when this is up and running I will provide a link directly to them.

Cycleability Bikes..

The group have a huge number of specially adapted bikes which can take wheel chair users in safety. Some have handlebar peddles and double seats. There are tandems and 3 wheelers as well as the normal range of bikes. The aim of the group is to give young people access to an activity that would normally not be open to them. The Bikes are very often taken to events around the county by Martin and a number of volunteers to ensure that people know that our facility exits and to raise awareness.
Cycling Sessions are available every Sunday afternoon 1pm-3pm at Chester Le Street Park. Please meet at the Dadlg office by 1.30pm. Contact Martin in advance on 07761.572732.
An outreach Service is also available to schools, colleges, youth groups etc. For further details or to book a session contact us on 0191.3891666
