GRANT AID INFORMATION.

DFCD cannot function as a group without the help and support of its members and the hard work of the committee. Each year the group struggles to make ends meet in order to carry on for another year and we very much value everyones support.
However there is no doubt that without funds received from outside Grant Making Bodies the struggle to survive would be much more difficult.
Therefore this page is dedicated to those Grant Making Bodies who have funded us over the last few years.
FUNDERS.

Thanks to a generous donation of Ł620 from AMTEL and MERIT which includes a personal donation from Antony Perry in OCT 2007 DFCD were able to take a group of children and Carers to The Forbidden Corner near Leyburn for the day. We are very grateful for your help and Thank You.....
The latest Grant Award of Ł4257 from the Nationwide Foundation has been for the purchase of 3 new laptops for the Jumpstart Kidz Club. This includes Ł180's worth of software. DFCD must thank the Nationwide Foundation for their generosity. A big THANK YOU must also go to Evesham Technology who supplied the Laptops and agreed to give us subsidised P and P along with Free wireless / optical mice and Free Carry Cases.

NORTHERN ROCK FOUNDATION - Ł1,044.00 which will go towards the Group's communication costs during 2002/3. This means that instead of using our savings to print/copy and distribute the groups Monthy Newsletter the grant will take care of this and many other day to day communication costs.

COUNTY DURHAM FOUNDATION (Local Network Fund) - CDF awarded us Ł371.00 towards the cost of a new Information Board in 2001. The Board is now half way through travelling round all the branch Libraries in Co Durham. We were also awarded Ł7000 towards the cost of a full week at Manor Adventure Centre in Shropshire in April 2003. This was a week packed full of activities for Parents, Carers and children alike. The latest CDF award was for Ł2600 for some equipment for the Stanley Branch of DFCD plus a further Ł880 to purchase a Digital Camcorder which we will use to create a film/cd/dvd of the groups activities and distribute to those who would like a copy. A Huge THANK YOU to County Durham Foundation.

ESSO PETROLEUM CO LTD & EXXONMOBIL have continued their wonderful support to DFCD with yet another Ł500 grant in Oct 2007. This means that over the past 4/5 years ExxonMobil has given the group over Ł5000 from the CAF VIP programme which has helped towards the costs of production of our Newsletters, to help fund a childrens Dyspraxia workshop in Durham and to pay for essential group expenses.

AWARDS FOR ALL - In late 2000 Awards for All granted us Ł3750.00 which allowed the group to purchase three TIME Laptop computors plus a digital camera and printer. These have been used by our Sat Club Members to learn and play games on. The Laptops have been loaned out to our young members and they have benefitted greatly from them. Our Newsletter is also produced from the Laptops and printed out on the Lexmark printer each month. The latest award was for Ł2522 in 2003. Thank you.

Hello, Hello, Hello, What all this then? Well it's Ł200.00 actually.
This award by DURHAM CONTABULARY has enabled us to provide the Sat Club Kids with a brand new XBox to go with our Play Station 1 (which is getting a bit out of date). The September Kids Club was the first time the Xbox was used and it went down a storm. Thank you - Over and Out!! (sorry couldn't resist it- ed)

DUCK (DURHAM UNIVERSITY CHARITY KOMMITTEE) have given us several awards over the past few years. The latest being Ł250.00.DUCK and the students at Durham University should be justly proud of thier achievements in helping hundreds of local groups each year. CHRIST'S HOSPITAL SHERBURN Christ Hospital Sherburn were kind enough to award DFCD Ł540.00 to cover the costs of producing our own factsheets and leaflets for our Information Stand. Without this award we would not have been able to pass leaflets and flyers to interested parents and teachers at our awareness raising events.
