Please note - that the Parents support group has now changed from every 2nd Tuesday of the month to every 2nd Saturday of the month as part of the Jumpstart Kidz club sessions.
The venue will remain Belmont Comprehensive

THIS GROUP IS OUR ONLY CHILD FREE ZONE!!!
The group's main purpose is to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in which
the group talk openly about issues or worries that affect them directly. The group
also tries to cross communicate all sorts of useful information to adults sufferers and parents who
can then use what is learnt at home or passed onto the child's school. This is
often done by a simple exchange of information or, if there is
a proven need, an outside expert speaker can be arranged to give a talk. 
Remember, this is your group to use exactly how you want eg.
A chance for just a coffee and a natter to a more in-depth discussion on your
problems getting the Local Education Authority to Statement your child - the choice
is yours....
There is a lot of useful information out there to help Parents
of Dyspraxic children but accessing it is difficult and frustrating and getting
assessments and intervention can be even more problematical. Therefore the Parent
Support Group could prove a useful forum for you to gather the information you
need. Come along and give it a try.
